The 2001 James Tiptree, Jr. Award was given to Hiromi Goto at ReaderCon 14, July 07, 2002, in Boston, Massachusetts.

In addition to selecting the winner, each jury chooses an Honor List (previously called a “Short List”). The Honor List is a strong part of the award’s identity and is used by many professors as a guide to creating syllabi and by many readers as a recommended reading list.

The James Tiptree Jr. Literary Award Council is pleased to announce that the award ceremony for the 2001 Tiptree Award winner(s) has been held, and the winners have received their award and accolades.
